Contracts
Do I have to have a contract through DISH Network?
Yes. You will have to agree to maintain programming and service from DISH Network for a determined amount of time in order to take advantage of specials and offers.
How long do I have to maintain my contract?
The length of the contract will depend on the programming and promotions that are available to you. When you call to sign up for DISH Network, the terms and conditions of the particular programming packages and promotional discounts will be disclosed to you. These terms can also vary depending on your credit score, so it is impossible to predict what it will be for each customer.
Do I ever have to renew my contract?
You do not have to renew your contract if you do not want to. You will have the option of renewing your contract when it expires.
Does adding HD or additional programming affect my contract?
Making programming changes to your contract can affect its length. Adding additional services at their normal cost will usually not extend your contract. If you lower your programming level, you may have to reset your contract or pay an additional fee if you drop below minimum programming levels (as dictated by your initial contract). If you take advantage of certain promotions that are available to current customers, you may have to sign a new contract to get the promotional pricing.
How do I end my contract early?
You will have to contact DISH Network directly at 1-251-580-0160 to discuss ending your contract early. You will have to pay an early termination fee to end your contract early.
What happens to a DISH Network account when someone dies?
Those in charge of the estate should contact DISH Network directly at 1-251-580-0160 to discuss terminating the account. DISH Networks customer service representatives will be happy to delicately handle this situation for you.

How does DISH Network billing work?
You can sign up for automatic payments, pay your bill with cash with select services, pay with credit or debit card, or pay by check. Details on all of these payment methods can be found on DISH Networks site. SkyView Services is unable to process payments for DISH Network service.
What are partial-month billing charges?
When you change your programming in the middle of a billing cycle, you will be billed for only the time that you had each level of programming. Partial-month billing allows you to be billed accurately, rather than wait until the end of the month to see these changes reflected.

Does DISH Network accept automatic payments?
Yes. You can set up automatic payments using your debit/check card or credit card using DISH Networks AutoPay, which can be found in their Customer Support Center or on channel 100 on your receiver. Electronic Funds Transfer service is also available using your checking or savings account. You can sign up for EFT payments using the check box on your most recent bill. Make sure that you pay close attention to what the customer service representative tells you when you agree to DISH Network service as they will identify and price each aspect of DISH Network service.
What is a Service Access Fee?
The Service Access Fee is assessed on accounts that do not maintain a basic level of programming. These situations usually involve very specialized programming choices which cost more for DISH Network to deliver than basic programming. This small charge allows customers greater access to programming choices while keeping everyday costs low.
What are your tax policies and do they depend on customer location?
Sales and excise taxes will be applied to your DISH Network account in most cases. The rate of such taxes will depend on your location and will be clearly identified on your monthly bill.
